I...Dude, I thought the same thing until I heard it. I recognized it! It must have been from my wife, but I'm positive that I had no idea it was from Nikki Sixx. It sounded just like anything everything else on current rock radio.
I'm going to confess that a lot of my issues with Sixx is that I do think he has some talent. Those first two Crue albums are pretty good for me, but then he got lazy and went for commercial reward instead of trying to emulate those that inspired him. And then he felt guilty about it and he's been trying to rescue his street cred ever since he dropped Corabi like a bitch. I think we've talked about that Corabi record before, but it wasn't that bad! Remember, he just got a windfall from Elektra prior to that, and the moment management and label execs started crunching the Crue's number is the moment he figured out that he had a certain lifestyle that the Crue provided him. And since he pissed away a large portion of that nest egg on junk, the idea of artistic integrity took a back seat to money. I hear you, the dude doesn't know when to shut the fuck up, and as stupid as Vince and Tommy are-you're right-they aren't pretending to be something that they're not.Todd Totalehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08985141400507835685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26208080.post-19553954400186911952011-05-14T19:25:47.261-05:002011-05-14T19:25:47.261-05:00I swear I've never heard the so-called most pl...I swear I've never heard the so-called most played rock radio song of 2008 & it only took about 30 seconds of this new tune to know I'll be a better person if I never hear it again. Sixx just loves to hear himself speak doesn't he? Does he keep doing this crap because he thinks that it may earn him a scrap of respect or credibility? Someone needs to tell him that it aint gonna happen. Do his life experiences put him up there with with Dylan & Springsteen? Nope. Anyone who admits to not taking a shower for weeks and trying to have sex with as many girls as possible will never be considered anything more than what he is. A consumate sleazy entertainer. He spent the 80's "treading water in a sea of retarded sexuality."* If he embraced his true self, like Vince & Tommy have, he be much happier. And so would I.

*Spinal TapCousin Jnoreply@blogger.com
