Wow. I don't know what to make of this.
Not so much the idea of an IPhone application that helps old people, but that Lou Reed is marketing it and in some ways leading people to believe that he developed it.
Yes, it's Lou saturated in color to hide his wrinkles promoting an application that zooms your IPhone contacts.
Nothing wrong with that...but Lou Reed?
It's neither funny nor all that motivating; do they really think that Lou in oversized glasses and poking a $300 phone with a Japanese Sai is good marketing?
And the name Lou Zoom? Reeks of his ego more than a memorable name for an app that may indeed have a market.
I thought this was an April Fool's gag...do you not remember Lou shilling for Honda scooters in the '80s?
ReplyDeleteThat was weird & a little sad. He sounded like he had marbles in his mouth. Lou's definitely showing his age. Remember how awesome he was in his heyday with stuff like 'I Love You Suzanne' & 'No Money Down'?
ReplyDeleteIt funny how both of you commented on things that I originally started to write about, but later withdrew. The first thing that I thought was that it was indeed an April Fools joke. Then I noticed the upload date (3/23) and determined that it wasn't. I also questioned why he had such a mush mouth-and even checked out another video from recently just to clarify-wondering aloud if he forgot his dentures or something. He seems to speak perfectly fine in that other video from last year, so we'll chock it up to some dental work.
ReplyDeleteAnd Cuz, I know you're joking about "No Money Down" (right?), but I kinda like New Sensations. Don't piss off the Lou Reed fans. I still get hate posts for my review of The Bells.
